Keeping up this blog is more time-consuming than I anticipated. I find that I like the activities that would make good "copy" (Dinner with friends, Ride to Cabela's, Firewood-cutting parties, etc.) but taking pictures everywhere I go and writing about the adventures leaves me with a long list of "should-have's" and not a lot of interesting reading. GRrrrrrrr.
Speaking of reading; when am I going to find time to read? I have shelves full of good books and more coming in from several directions. My carnivorous friend here looks like I feel, sometimes. I think it's time for some solitude.

I know what you mean about reading more... I am starting a blog comprised of book reviews. I am hoping that if feel like I'm reading for the benefit of others in addition to myself, and if I am accountable to my readers for comprehending what I'm reading, it might encourage me to read more and read better. Maybe making commitments to your blog readers or church family will help motivate.

Hi Mike. Just seeing that I have new reader (and one that I wasn't expecting) gave me a little jolt. Thanks for the encouragement.
The nice thing about your own blog is that it is YOUR OWN blog ! You can post whenever you feel like it, and we'll read it whenever there is a new post.Isn't that great ?
So what book are you going to start with ? Inquiring minds want to know .
Thanks Wingmaster. Jim and KathyB.
mmmm Mike's comment would go to uh what's the word?, submission eh?
A couple of the books that come to mind are "The Only Necessary Thing-Living A Prayerful Life" by HEnri J.M. Nouwen and Beresford Job's "Biblical Church" (so I can return it to you, Kathy ;-)
Happy anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Wingmaster ! Jim and KathyB.
